Come and Ride with the Big Dogs!

Horse Camp:

June Horse Camp is full for 2011.

If your child is between 7-15 and is a horse lover, you should consider Big Dog Horse Camp. Horse camp is one week long, 9am-3pm with a Thursday night camp out. The campers get to experience "owning" their own horse for the week. They ride twice a day- structured lesson with no more than five kids in the morning and fun games to practice their learning takes place each afternoon. Campers learn the most important aspects of horsemanship: safety, horse health with a visit to a nearby horse hospital, shoeing, tack parts and cleaning, etc. There is a new topic each day and a "Jeopardy" game to practice what is learned in the afternoon.

Our first camp is June 18th - June 22nd and July 16th - 20th. The hours will be 9am- 3:00pm, Monday-Wednesday (extended daycare available). Thursday is camp out night and Friday (show off day!) ends at 11am. The cost for kids enrolled in a lesson program is $350 and $375 if not in a lesson program. Please send a deposit of $100 to PO Box 783, Beavercreek, OR 97004.

We are offering a CIT "Counselor in Training" for Big Dog kids in a regular lesson program. They will be mentored by seasoned counselors and have the opportunity to see what being a counselor is all about. CIT's will have the chance to ride each day following horse camp. The cost is $150 per week. CIT's need to be at least 12 years of age.
